Leylen Colmegna MD - CEO
Leylen Colmegna is the CEO and Co-Founder of LAT Research. With over 25 years of experience in Clinical Research, she has held roles at investigative sites as well as within the pharmaceutical and CRO (Contract Research Organization) industries. This diverse background gives her a comprehensive understanding of the clinical development process, covering operational, strategic, and regulatory aspects. She holds a Medical Degree from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), a specialization in Pharmaceutical Medicine, and a postgraduate degree in Regulatory Affairs in Argentina for the Pharmaceutical Industry from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
Pablo Di Blasi CPA - CFO
Pablo Di Blasi is a Certified Public Accountant with a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. As Co-Founder and CFO of LAT Research, he brings over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, executive leadership, and business strategy, including more than 20 years dedicated to the clinical research industry. He leads LAT Research's financial and administrative functions, overseeing budgeting, planning, tax compliance, cost control, and corporate governance. His deep understanding of regulated environments and strong focus on compliance and sustainable growth make him a key member of the executive team. Pablo serves as a strategic liaison with sponsors, partners, and institutions across Latin America, playing a critical role in the financial strength and continued expansion of LAT Research.
Carlos Caparrós MD - Clinical Operations Director
Carlos Caparrós is Clinical Operations Director of LAT Research where he oversees operations and is responsible of the execution of all projects assigned to the company. He has 35 years of experience in the industry with a strong track record of developing regional clinical operations teams not only in Latin America but in Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as well. He is also VP for the Argentine Chamber of Clinical Research Organizations (CAOIC) and Medical Advisor for the SYNGAP1 Foundation in Argentina. Carlos holds an M.D. from Universidad de Buenos Aires; he is board certified in General and Thoracic Surgery in Argentina. He also holds a Diploma in Marketing and Business for the Pharmaceutical Industry, awarded by Universidad Abierta Interamericana in Buenos Aires.
